THE PELICAN’S SCORE 8 RUNS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 7TH INNING TO BEAT THE ILLINOIS LONGSHOTS.

ANDREW ROSSMAN TOOK A NO-HITTER INTO THE 5TH INNING BEFORE GIVING A SINGLE AND BEING REMOVED FROM GAME BASED ON HIS PITCH COUNT.  DAN ROWBOTTOM, CASSIDY BROWN, NATE ROMANS, AND TYLER SULLIVAN LED THE PELICANS OFFENSE.  CASSIDY BROWN HAD THE GAME WINNING BASE HIT IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 7TH WITH THE BASES LOADED.

PELICANS PUT UP 9 RUNS IN THE FIRST INNING, BUT THEN FAIL TO SCORE THE REST OF THE GAME.  TOP TIER, WINNER OF THE 2010 CABA WORLD SERIES, CONTINUED TO CHIP AWAY, AND EVENTUALLY SCORED THE GO AHEAD RUNS IN THE 5TH INNING OF THE GAME.
